About me

Arianna Pagani, 1988, is a freelance Italian photographer.Her approach to photography is documenting the stories about social issues through the reportage following the professional ethics of photojournalism. In 2011, she graduated from L.A.B.A ( Arts Academy ) in Brescia and in 2014 she completed the master of Photojournalism in Milano. She spent a year in Turkey to follow the chronicle of street clashes between the government and political groups. She started following the flow of Kurdish refugees arriving from Syria in Turkey producing in-depth reportage. Later she moved, in different times, in the Balkans area where she made in-depth stories in Bosnia about the investigation on the role of the women during war, in terms of resistance and victims of violence. She started Following Iraqis events in 2014. Since then she returned several times in Iraq to tell the Northern crisis after the capture of Mosul. In 2017 followed the liberation of the city of Raqqa in Syria. She also worked in Tunisia and Lebanon. Until now she works on long-term personal projects which focuses on women social issues in the middle East.
