Portraits from revolution days, behind the documentary, 2019

In Baghdad, the youth uprising against the government for several months has resulted in a terrible human toll. Huda, Ali and Salman are young activists and represent a new generation of Iraqis, mobile phone in one hand and national flag in the other. They protest against the endemic corruption, Iranian and American interference and are against a whole political class which has been clinging to power since 2003. Despite the bloody repression, often with live ammunition, a new kind of social movement is in the process of born. Young people occupy the streets and buildings to regain possession of public spaces. Will they also be able to take control of their destiny?
